Those who love and miss a Sumner County mom and her 9-year-old boy who were tragically murdered gathered together Sunday night to honor their lives, and say they want to express to the world what good people they were.

On Friday, 31-year-old mom Jessie Binkley and her 9-year-old son, Zeke were found shot to death inside their Bethpage home.

Those who knew the family and miss them dearly told FOX 17 News of their great generosity. Taylor Rowe, with Live Love Nashville, said Jessie and her husband donated $15,000 through their family business to Christmas4Kids this year to sponsor 100 kids.

Those close to the victims gathered to honor their lives on Sunday, leaving notes, saying prayers and sharing memories.

Jessie is remembered as a woman of God who was always fun, always laughing, the first to hug you when you walked in the room.

Her son Zeke, a fourth grader, at Jack Anderson Elementary School, was known as a little boy full of life.

“We understand the emotional impact this can have on our students and we will have counselors available at the school Monday to address any needs,” Sumner County Schools wrote in a statement to FOX 17 News. “Jack Anderson is an extremely close knit school community and we know that they will come together to support each other during this terrible tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the lacob family during this extremely difficult time.”

Right now, those who gathered in remembrance say their primary focus moving forward is to support the husband and father the pair leave behind.

“This is just a senseless act and it's unacceptable and I'm glad he's able to see how many people loved him and love his family. We all support him we have his back, that's what I think is the most important thing here today,” family friends Jessy Keith Whitley said. “I'm pretty sure we all wish we weren't here doing this, but they were two beautiful people and they're very loved so we're here to show that.”

A fundraiser for the family has already garnered more than $27,000 as of Monday morning. Those wishing to donate can do so here.

Jessie Binkley and Zeke Iacob were tragically murdered in their home on Friday December 11th. They have supported Live Love Nashville from the very beginning. I can not sit back and not do anything during this time. Dre has supported me in so many ways and now he needs our support. He is having to bury the love of his life, and his son. I don’t have the words to say- but please pray. If you can financially support- please do.

The Gallatin man accused of killing them, Kevin Moore, was found dead inside his home with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Moore previously worked for Binkley's family business.

Friends ask for continues prayers for the family.
