Dave Keylon is a lifelong Tennessee resident. Dave was born in Chattanooga but was raised in Dayton. He is a graduate of Rhea County High School. Dave is also a University of Tennessee graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Communications.
Ever since the age-of-13 he always dreamed of working in television and that dream came true when he began his career in 2000 as a news photographer at WDSI before moving to Knoxville to WATE as a sports photographer in 2002 where he spent a year covering all sports and everything clad in orange. In 2006, he returned to the television business as a creative services producer/editor. Since then Dave has been responsible for producing local sports content.
Dave currently is responsible for producing High School Sports Zone a half-hour show dedicated to spotlighting high school sports in the Chattanooga area as well as lending a hand in sports reporting. The thing he enjoys most about his job is getting to meet student-athletes and coaches and getting to know them away from their respective sports as well as tell their story.
When he’s not roaming a sideline on Friday Night Rivals during football season, he can be found watching College Football on Saturdays.
In his spare time Dave enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, woodworking, DIY projects around the house and going out to eat. Don’t ask him to cook, he only has a kitchen because it came with the house.
