Home Improvement company to honor local veteran family, Daniel & Linda Stovall with gift of independence this Veteran’s Day
Hullco to donate a “shower upgrade” to improve the living situation for a veteran.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 5.5 million U.S. veterans are living with a disability; many facing everyday challenges such as bathing. This Veteran’s Day, Hullco, a Tennessee-based home remodeling company that specializes in windows, siding, doors, roofing, and baths, will be donating a bath upgrade to a local veteran. The special event was on Wednesday, Nov. 7, and provided Col. Daniel Stovall, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, with a brand-new shower system, free of charge, to help improve his life impacted by disability, who sacrificed so much for our country.
Stovall served as a helicopter mechanic in the U.S. Army for 18 years, where he was stationed in Virginia, Germany, and Tullahoma, before coming to his home in Chattanooga. Recent medical conditions and surgeries have affected the quality of life, and ease of getting around for not only Daniel, but also his wife, Linda.
“This is such a blessing to us, because he will be able to get into the shower with very little problems“, says Linda Stovall, Daniel Stovall’s wife.
Providing a safe bathing environment and helping our nation’s heroes maintain their dignity and independence is the reason why we decided to be part of this initiative again this year” Matt Hullander, president of Hullco, said. “No one should have to worry about falling in their own tub or shower so we’re proud to help the Stovall’s”
“We’re really excited to tell Stovall’s story,” Hullander said. “Knowing that he will go to back to his home with the peace of mind knowing he is safe and more independent is just a great feeling.”
Hullco will donate 100 percent of their time and materials for this project to improve the life of a veteran.
