Inclement weather once again kept rounds from getting completed Wednesday at the Tennessee Women’s Amateur Championship, being hosted by The Honors Course in Ooltewah this week.

For the fourth consecutive day (including Sunday’s practice rounds), players were pulled off the course due to lightning in the area. It happened twice Wednesday, the second time effectively ending play for the day.

All of the flighted divisions got their scheduled play in, but six pairings in the Round of 16 of the Championship Flight still have to be completed when play resumes at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday.

The quarterfinals and semifinals of the Match Play bracket are also scheduled for Thursday, with the championship match in each division set for Friday.

Two players earned a spot in the quarterfinals of the Championship Flight before play was cancelled.

Jonesborough native Addison Baggarly, now playing at the University of Florida, won 6&4 over Rheaghan Hall. Also, 13-year-old Sophie Linder of Carthage was a 5&4 winner over Catherine Caudill.
