The Chattanooga Football Club is trying to keep engaged with their fans during the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
One way Chattanooga FC is keeping up the spirits of their fans up is by hosting a CFC classic game on youtube this Saturday, March 21st, at 3 p.m.
The classic game is the 2016 Regional Final against Miami United FC.
“It’s a CFC Classic” said Jeremy Alumbaugh, Managing Director, Chattanooga FC. “After the National Championship match against NY Cosmos in 2015, this is probably the most iconic Chattanooga FC match in history. It will be great to give fans the experience of watching it unfold again.”
The move to rebroadcast the classic game comes after NISA announced that the spring season will be postponed due to the outbreak of COVID-19. It’s just one of several upcoming events the team has planned for the next few weeks so that supporters can stay engaged and get excited for the upcoming season the CFC says in a press release.
“Saturday would have been a great day, full of community, tailgating at Finley and a fantastic opponent in the Cal United Strikers” said Alumbaugh.. “So we decided to still make it a great day of community, just virtually. People can tailgate in their backyards, on their front porches, prior to the 3 p.m. Kick-Off and we can enjoy a match together.”
Also Chattanooga FC will have a raffle for a few of the actual jerseys worn in this match. Fans will have a chance to win a piece of history, and give some money to a great cause, the JA Henry Community YMCA Mobile Fit. The link to enter will be posted at a later date.
Saturday’s event will be available for everyone on the Chattanooga FC official YouTube Channel this Saturday, March 21st, at 3 p.m.
