One week from Tuesday the Tennessee Volunteers football team will be front and center at SEC Media Days. The media "extravaganza" kind of sets the stage for the upcoming season.
Tennessee Athletic Director Phil Fulmer sat down with us Tuesday for a one-on-one interview in Knoxville on UT's campus. We talked initially about all the SEC traditions, ritual and pageantry. That will be the focus next week during SEC Media Days.
The focus now is on the Vols in 2019. Fulmer said this past spring practice was much different than Jeremy Pruitt's first spring session last year. The 2018 one was difficult with coaches and players getting to know one another, Fulmer noted.
The offensive line was also decimated with injuries. This year, injuries are still a bit of an issue, but the Vols have added some depth, particularly with highly touted lineman Wanya Morris.
Fulmer spoke about his expectations from this team at season's end.
Take a look.
