This year’s NASCAR Champion’s Week and NASCAR Cup Series have been cancelled, NASCAR announced Monday.

The event was originally scheduled to take place in Nashville. NASCAR said the reason behind the cancellation is the “uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus and the impact on the industry.”

The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series champions will be recognized at the end of the season with more details to come.

The organization said they look forward to returning to Music City in 2021.
