Paul Ellis is the new head football coach at LaFayette High School.

The school says the 50-year-old comes to LHS from Fort Payne High School, where he was head coach for the last 14 seasons.

LHS says Ellis won almost 70 percent of the games he coached, including four seasons with only one loss.

His team had a 109-48 win-loss record, and won six region championships.

He served as the head coach in the Alabama High School All-Star game in 2011.

Ellis has also been a teacher as well as coach for the last 28 years.

The school says Ellis will begin teaching at the school in about two weeks.
