Baylor swimming girls medley ranked number 1 in the country

The Baylor School girl's 200 medley relay team swam the fastest finish time in the whole country, on the way to winning the state championship this past school year.

The quartet finished the race with a school and state record time of 1:39.91.

The group consisted of Ellie Waldrep, Jewel Gordon, Addison Smith and Callie West.

This is the 16th time in Baylor' history where one of the program's relays ranked first in the country.

Baylor also had 11 athletes earn National Interscholastic Coach Association (NISCA) All American status for the 2018-2019 swimming season.

The following Baylor relays also earned All-American Honors:

  • Girls 200 Free relay of Dallas Woods, Jamee Mitchum, Jewel Gordon, & Addison Smith
  • Girls 400 Free relay of Ellie Waldrep, Jamee Mitchum, Avery Wilson, & Callie West
  • Boys 200 Medley relay of Jack Kirby, Alex Borisov, Aidan Sims, & Will Tippett
