(KUTV) – An internet company will pay someone $1,000 to play the newest installment of the Animal Crossing franchise -- "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" -- for 50 hours.

According to HighSpeedInternet.com, one lucky person will be chosen for the gig.

The requirements? You must be 18 or older, a U.S. resident and have a Nintendo Switch as well as a copy of "Animal Crossing: New Horizons."

You can be brand new to the game or a master game-playing veteran as "we’re open to entries from all our gamer neighbors," HighSpeedInternet.com said.

A winner will be chosen on August 6 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. That person must accept the gig by August 16.

The winner will then have to play 50 hours of Animal Crossing: New Horizons by September 30 to be eligible for the $1,000. That translates to $20/hour to play a video game.

There is one catch in order to apply: you'll need to run an "internet speed test" for HighSpeedInternet.com and submit those results with your name, email address and answers to the following questions:

  • Are you over the age of 18?
  • Are you a legal resident of the United States?
  • Do you have a Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite to play Animal Crossing on?
  • Do you own the Animal Crossing game?

You can apply for the job here.
