Woman falls 30 feet in Foster Falls State Park

Bob Lewis of Chattanooga-Hamilton County Rescue tells NewsChannel 9 that one woman fell 30 feet at Foster Falls State Park last night.

Crews from the Marion County EMA, TN State Parks, Puckett EMS, Foster Falls Fire Department and Chattanooga-Hamilton County Rescue were sent to the scene.

Lewis says the woman was on a route where something occurred that made her pendulum and fall and hit her head. She was wearing a rope and helmet at the time of the incident.

Lewis says the crew placed her in a full body vacuum slit and carried her out. The rescue took about 2 hours in total.

The condition of the woman is unknown.
