Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk says two members have resigned after it was learned they engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a witness of an investigation.

Sheriff Gary Sisk says Detective Tim Deal and Lieutenant Freddie Roden resigned earlier this week.

Sisk says, "On separate occasions and on separate cases each Detective had an inappropriate relation with a witness of a case they were investigating. When confronted each man admitted to their indiscretions."

Sisk says the Sheriff’s Office will work with the District Attorney’s Office to adequately resolve any cases these two Detectives still have, "pending to the best of our ability."

Sisk would not elaborate on which specific investigations led to these two resignations, nor would he identify the witnesses involved in the relationships.
