Howard High students can now look forward to a new track to train on.
Below is a picture of what the school's old outdoor track once looked like - cracked and worn.
On Thursday, our NewsChannel 9 SkyView camera took in the view of the track now.
A Hamilton County Schools spokesperson says the new track is finished, and the field and stands will be ready for the school's first football game on August 23 against Stratford, a Nashville-area school.
The school broke ground on the new track and stadium in January.
The project was part of a $195 million plan to improve schools, jails, and refinance old county debt.
