All day Thursday, viewers took a little time to make a big difference in a child's life this winter.

Every year, NewsChannel 9, FOX Chattanooga and The CW Chattanooga team up with local law enforcement, firefighters and the community to keep kids warm.

This Thursday, we collected coats, winter wear, and monetary donations - all of which went to the Forgotten Child Fund. (Note: the coats will be distributed at a different time and location.)

Not able to make it out Thursday, or need a coat for your kids? Reach out to the Forgotten Child Fund by giving them a call at 423-697-0031 or donating through their website here.

Around noon, LifeForce made a very special donation - and they did it in style.

Kayla Strayer spoke with a Chattanooga Police Officer who spent Thursday collecting coats.

The Forgotten Child Fund has a long history in Chattanooga.

Join our team out at Hamilton Place near the Abuelo's Restaurant parking lot until 7 p.m. Thursday!

We are accepting new children's coats from baby size on up to large, as well as monetary donations. All will go to help the Forgotten Child Fund. (Please note: coat distribution will happen at a different time and location).

We got our first donation at about 6 a.m.
