NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Opry Mills Mall will be among those closing for Thanksgiving Day.
Simon Property Group, which owns the Nashville shopping mall, announced on Monday their properties would not be open on the holiday, joining a growing list of retailers.
In a statement release from the company, CEO David Simon said "In these challenging times, we made the decision that we will not open on Thanksgiving Day, instead allowing our associates to spend the holiday with their loved ones."
The properties will be open for Black Friday according to the release. Target, Kohls and Walmart have announced they will close stores on Thanksgiving as well.
