NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Just weeks after the passing of Country Music icon Charlie Daniels, a musical tribute to Daniels will take place at Bridgestone Arena has been announced.

The 83-year-old passed away on July 6 after suffering a stroke. An active philanthropist in the Middle Tennessee community and beyond, one of the ways Daniels raised money was through his Volunteer Jam which he started in 1974. This year's concert slated for September was pushed to February 22, 2021 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Following his unexpected passing, showrunners announced the February concert will go on as planned but also serve as a "Musical Salute to Charlie Daniels." The show will include such performers as Alabama, Ricky Skaggs, Old Crow Medicine Show, Junior Brown, and Cece Winans. The new additions will join previous acts such as Gretchen Wilson, Rhett Akins, and Big & Rich who had already been slated to take part.

Tickets for the event are on sale now via Ticketmaster and 500 tickets are being donated to emergency relief volunteers serving Middle Tennessee. Volunteers can request a ticket by emailing taylor.freeman@outbackpresents.com.
